With Halloween on the horizon, burning questions about the undead need to be answered: Can being a zombie be considered suffering?

It depends on what you mean by suffering, and it depends also on what type of zombie you are discussing.

The trouble is that there are no generic zombies. But for now, I will define being a zombie as any state that results from being raised from the dead and involves an unquenchable hunger for living flesh. For now, zombies that are turned while the victims are alive will be excluded.

One can assume that only a small amount of functions in the brain are operating in this state, judging by the slowness of movement, the inability to solve problems, and the one-track-mindedness of the victim. Therefore, it is also assumed that the victim's lack of complete consciousness is preventing them from really being aware of what they are doing. The suffering then falls to a moral level. People sign donor cards because they wish for their bodies to be useful after they are dead. Their bodies going around eating other living and breathing humans is most likely against their moral wishes. Therefore, they are suffering morally, but perhaps not physically? Zombies have shown that while they don't feel pain (nervous system is also not active any longer) they do inflict it without a second thought.

Alright, so at one point you owned most of Canada. So what? You fucked up the Olympic outfits for the Canadian olympic team this year, so I don't care. Fuck you. Roots had it down pat, and then you decide you want to try and make the team look like they walked through Jackson Pollock's studio?

I mean, most of the outfit looks alright... until you look at the main jacket/pants/HEADBAND combo.

It's all great except for the guy in the middle. Unfortunately he just looks silly.

I don't know if I really want to go and see Pirates 3. Someone just told me they loved it, and then followed it up by saying that it was just as good as Spiderman 3.

See, I hated Spiderman 3 so much that I wrote a song about how bad it was. No, you can't hear it.

Seeing as I also didn't really like Pirates 2 very much, because it was essentially a remake of the first one with a different villain, I don't know if I'll bother.
